Launching Eternal Vault - A secure digital estate platform

The story behind this project

During COVID’s first wave, I watched my close friend’s family go through an absolute nightmare after his father passed away. They spent 6 months trying to access basic digital accounts, banking, photos, important documents, everything was scattered and password-protected.

As a software engineer watching this unfold, I realized this wasn’t just their problem. It’s something millions of families face (and can very well be me), yet most of us never think about it until it’s too late.

What I built: Eternal Vault

Eternal Vault is a secure digital estate platform that helps families organize and access important information when they need it most. Think of it as a vault for your digital life - passwords, documents, photos, and even final messages - all encrypted and accessible to your loved ones when the time comes.

What makes it different:

  • Bank-level encryption (everything encrypted on YOUR device)
  • Smart family access controls with different trust levels
  • Gentle monitoring system (no morbid daily buttons!)
  • Gamified approach to building your digital legacy
  • Free plan to get started (no credit card required)

The numbers are shocking

Government data shows over $200 billion in digital assets become inaccessible worldwide every year. Behind every statistic is a family going through what my friend’s family endured.
